Overview

MAGNUS BERG is a 2025 Spellemannsprisen-winning Norwegian artist (sort of Norway’s little Grammy equivalent — heeey, but still..!), whose music springs from soul-driven rock, standout guitar work, and powerful vocals. Known for electrifying performances, he has connected with audiences internationally through a sound that is both classic in spirit and forward in execution.

  • 23rd of April: EP no. 1 - OFFICIAL NAME TBA SOON. This is the 1st EP release in a string of 4 consecutive ones throughout 2026.

With a solid bunch of fresh tunes in the pipeline, MBs future release evolution looks something like this:

  • TBA / SUMMER '26: EP no. 2 - w/ two single releases prior.
  • TBA / FALL '26: EP no. 3 - ditto.
  • TBA / WINTER '26: EP no. 4 - and yeah, we're hammering out at least two singles for this one too.

Style and Influences

Magnus delivers a sound that nods to the golden eras without living in the past—timeless soul-rock & fonk with sharp, modern edges, new beats, and a forward-driving groove. Spinning The Whole Shabang into their very own unique sound. The current live show (and the Electric Sugar era) pulls inspiration from London 1967, New Orleans 1970, Los Angeles 1973, and Oslo 1999/2025—a time-travel ride where vintage tone meets right-now attitude. Backed by Ola Øverby (drums), Leo Geller (bass) and Jørgen Kasbo (second guitar)—aka the heaviest hitters in Oslo—the result is simple: a kick-ass show—tight, loud, and sweaty in all the right ways.
